Thanks for this. I know it is quite an effort to bring even a short clip into being. Your (and Martina's) effort in all the film work is deeply appreciated for the clarity it adds to the conversation about RJ and also because it means the word can more readily-widely spread. Hurray!

It is not easy to stop thinking ill of others. Usually one must enter into a friendship with a person who has accomplished that great feat himself. Then something might start to rub off on you of that true elegance. Rumi.

Thank you so much, Linda. We're really glad it contributes something for folks.

We hope to have more stuff up soon.

Hugs,

Dominic and Martina

It's always great to have more resources...would love to see a longer video that documents how people change (from distrust to trust, for example) over time as a function of participating in this process.

simplicity of what is said about connection being what is restored slowly reveals its depth to me- from wondering why you chose this 'topic' to finding clues in the choice
short clips with a title seem to be a good way to introduce the work to new people: clarity, allows for choice in topics, suits short attention span

Hi Dominic,

since you emailed your RestoraCircles twit address it's a great support for me to read you regularly :-)

With the french speaking NVC community we are actively using http://fr.nvcwiki.com to share our discoveries, searches, events, etc... and it was a really good news for me to be able to enrich again a page dedicated to your work : http://fr.nvcwiki.com/index.php/Dominic_Barter_et_la_justice_r%C3%A9paratrice_au_Br%C3%A9sil

I recently found a way to add translation on videos on this wiki : http://fr.nvcwiki.com/index.php/Marshall_Rosenberg

If you find a way to add translations to your videos, let us know ;-)

warmly,
Dieudonné

I find the words inspiring and two things unhelpful - 1) having a shot that includes people in the background who are in focus, rather than focusing on you Dom; 2) your not adopting what would to me be more congruent body language -'slouching' and picking your ear; disconcerting for the places I want to put your words! (YOU did ask for feedback). Nonetheless, this video inspired an organisational policy I wrote today for an organisation stating that "The principles of a restorative approach to 'conflict' are that the priority is to restore connection, enable mutual understanding, clarify responsibility and support actions to be taken by participants in accord with values of mutual respect. We uphold these principles, aware that 'conflict' is an inevitable, and often can be seen to be a fruitful part of decision making and of sharing anything in life together"
