Contact and community

Hi,

We value the flow of learning with the growing Restorative Circle community. We'd love it if we all lived on the same street and you could just drop by when you wanted to. In the meantime, here are some ways to connect to us:

If you are new to RC:

We post brief, easily readable updates, links, stories and comments on Twitter almost daily. These cover many aspects of Restorative Circles, as well as information on Restorative Justice research and restorative practices in general. Follow us at @RestoraCircles or read the thread anytime, without signing up, at http://twitter.com/RestoraCircles

You can also 'like' us on Facebook, here: http://t.co/3cEsVsEW

Do you have a query about the Restorative Circle process? Questions about all aspects of this work can be posted in the box below. Responses are then available to all here Please keep your questions short and focused on RCs.

If you participate in a restorative system that uses RCs, and/or an RC practice group, or have a general interest in RC:

As well as the above options, there are general RC e-mail lists in English, German and French. The lists are great places to share experiences, request support and learn from those in the field on all aspects of Restorative Circles, sharing your learning with others. Some participants also meet up, online and in person, to share and deepen their ongoing learning in Peer Group calls and conference call practice - or Semi-simulated - Circles.

Click here to join the English group. Click here to join the German group. Click here to join the French group.

When the page opens click 'Join this group' and follow the prompts. You'll be asked to create a Yahoo account, if you don't have one.

If you are actively involved in facilitation or system issues within a community, institution or organization that uses RCs:

In English there is also a specific online community for those building and working in increasingly restorative systems that use RC. Please sign up for this email list if you are actively participating in building and/or maintaining a restorative system, and/or facilitating RCs within a system. Click here to sign up.

When the page opens click 'Join this group' and follow the prompts. You'll be asked to create a Yahoo account, if you don't have one.

You'll then receive an email requesting some information of your work and learning, as a way of introducing yourself and supporting us to maintain the specific focus of this email list.

If you are seeking deeper ongoing learning on the principles and practice of RC:

Over time, and through persistent investigation, some come to seek the specific environment of an apprentice learning relationship with this work. There they can further deepen their practical and theoretical understanding of both the practice and the principles of RC, in the company of similarly focused colleagues and those with greater field experience.

If you believe your work with RC has reached the stage in which such a commitment would be valuable, please sign up here:

We aim to live in alignment with the principles underlying this work. This means, in part, that we engage actively with our immediate communities and partners in the varied activities stemming from this choice. One of the consequences of this is that we may, at certain times, devote limited time to responding to individual e-mails. However, for questions not covered on this site, or through the above channels, e-mails can be sent to contact@restorativecircles.org and will be answered in the order in which they arrive, as soon as time allows.

For more sensitive queries, or those times in which you'd like more human contact, a few slots are available each month for brief chats over Skype. Please request time at https://tungle.me/dominic

We look forward to learning with you!
